What it is
Microcement is a cementitious coating — typically 2 to 3 millimetres thick — applied in successive coats over a primed substrate and sealed with a polyurethane top layer.
It produces a continuous, grout-free surface that can be installed on walls, floors, showers, kitchen islands, fireplaces, and counters. The result is a finish that reads like polished concrete but works like a sealed natural stone — waterproof, durable, repairable.
We have been installing microcement for clients who specifically requested it years before it landed on Pinterest. We work with Italian and Spanish manufacturers who provide a real system — primer, body coat, finish coat, and sealer — not a single bucket of grey paint marketed as "microcement."

- 01
Substrate
Surface levelled, cleaned, and primed with the manufacturer-specified bonding primer. Tile, drywall, concrete — anything stable can receive microcement.
- 02
First coat
Body coat trowelled on in tight passes, allowed to cure, then sanded smooth. This pass builds the structure of the surface.
- 03
Second coat
Finish coat in the chosen colour. Multiple passes possible to dial in the exact texture — matte, satin, or polished.
- 04
Seal
Two coats of polyurethane sealer. UV-stable, fully waterproof, food-safe, and easy to clean for the next twenty years.
