Full Exterior
A single contractor coordinating every layer of the exterior — from envelope and insulation through to cladding and trim.
On most projects, the exterior is broken into four or five separate trades — a sheathing crew, an insulator, a cladding contractor, a stone mason, and a flashings sub. Each one comes in, does their piece, and leaves. The result is a wall that nobody owns and a warranty that nobody honours.
Full Exterior is one project, one crew, one number. We coordinate every layer of the wall ourselves — envelope, insulation, primary cladding, accents, trims, soffits, fascia, gutters. One name on the truck for the whole envelope.
A look at the finish.
Common questions.
The questions we hear most often on full exterior estimates.
-
Why bundle into one Full Exterior contract instead of hiring separate trades?
Three reasons: sequencing (we coordinate the trade hand-offs ourselves), accountability (one warranty across the whole wall, not five overlapping ones), and pricing (we eliminate the sub-sub markup that adds 15–25% on multi-trade work).
-
How long does a full exterior package take?
Typical mid-size detached home: 8–14 weeks from start to closeout, including weather delays. New commercial low-rise: 16–24 weeks. Heritage and intricate residential can run longer — we estimate honestly during scoping and we don't pad.
-
Do you work with my architect or interior designer?
Yes — most of our higher-end work comes through an architect or designer. We hold drawing-review meetings before we order materials and we flag any detail in the drawings that will not constructibly work before it becomes an RFI.
-
What does the warranty cover?
Workmanship warranty: minimum 5 years on labour, longer on most components. Material warranties from manufacturers (Sto, Alpolic, Henry, etc.) are passed through directly to the owner. We carry $5M general liability and $2M completed-operations coverage.
